Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)

CHAS lets all Singapore Citizens, including Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) cardholders, get subsidies for medical and dental care at participating GP and dental clinics. The card colour — Blue, Orange or Green — sets the subsidy level, determined by monthly household income per person (or the home's IRAS Annual Value if the household has no income). Blue gets the largest subsidies, covering common-illness GP visits, chronic disease management and dental; Orange gets partial subsidies across the same categories; Green is limited to chronic disease management and Healthier SG screening, with no common-illness or dental subsidy. PG/MG cardholders receive Blue-tier or enhanced benefits regardless of income. Dental subsidies were revised and increased from 1 October 2025, extending preventive-procedure coverage to Orange cardholders and raising several restorative subsidy amounts.
