Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF)
Anyone who asks for your OTP or Singpass password, or asks you to pay before you can get government support, is a scammer.
SMF helps Singapore Citizens or PRs aged 60 and above pay for mobility and assistive devices (wheelchairs, walking sticks, hospital beds, hearing aids, spectacles, custom prostheses) and home healthcare consumables (catheters, adult diapers, wound dressings and similar items). It funds up to 90% of a device's cost, or the applicable subsidy cap, whichever is lower, with the exact rate set by a means test; home healthcare items are subsidised at a separate means-tested rate per financial year. Eligibility requires household income per person of $4,800 or less, or an Annual Value under $21,000 if there's no household income; seniors living in nursing homes or sheltered homes are excluded. Motorised devices have extra conditions — no full-time caregiver or helper, inability to use a manual wheelchair, and a capability assessment — and replacement devices are subject to a 24–48 month blackout period between claims.
