Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA)
Anyone who asks for your OTP or Singpass password, or asks you to pay before you can get government support, is a scammer.
Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) helps working parents pay for their children's student care centre (SCC) fees. Children aged 7–14 (Primary 1 to Secondary 2) at a regular SCC qualify if gross household income is $4,500 or less for households of up to 4 members, or per-capita income $1,125 or less for larger households (thresholds rise to $6,500/$1,625 from January 2027); Special Student Care Centre (SSCC) places for children aged 7–18 have a higher income ceiling of $9,200/$2,300 per capita. Subsidies run up to $290 a month at regular SCCs, with SSCC co-payments starting from $11 a month, plus a one-time Start-Up Grant of up to $400 per child. Applications are means-tested through the government's HOMES system.
