This is a community listing shared through Helping Hands. Please check the details with the organiser before attending.
Our nursery has more chilli, kangkong and brinjal seedlings than the garden can use. Collect a tray of eight for your balcony, plus a bag of compost, free. We will show you how to repot them and where to put them. Please bring a bag or a small container. Seedlings go quickly, so message before you come.

Yishun Green Kakis
Residents of Khatib and Yishun who like getting their hands dirty. We look after a community garden on a former carpark, run a monthly estate clean-up with composting workshops, and keep a free tool and book library in a converted storeroom. Most members are retirees who garden in the morning, joined by working adults and families at weekends. Newcomers never need experience: we lend gloves and boots, someone will show you what to do, and there is always tea at the end. Surplus vegetables go to residents of the surrounding blocks, free, whoever turns up first.
